Costs

The cost of your website comprises a basic setup fee which covers overall sitewide design and layout, plus an amount per page for each page of your site. Costs do not include domain and hosting fees and I don't provide hosting (though can recommend cheap and reliable companies based on my experience with them). Costs are modular and allow you to add on as many refinements as you like to build your ideal site. Even with a large number of refinements, the overall cost is still substantially less than a full bespoke agency design service.

Prices are quoted in GB£ and can be paid via credit/debit card through the secure server facility on my main site. Your credit card company will take care of any foreign exchange if appropriate.

The Set-up fee covers the basic site layout. Colours and text styles will be matched to your existing brochures/stationery and logo, if you have these. (See Samples and Portfolio for examples.) Prices will depend on the complexity of the design and image work required, and whether you want a bespoke design or one based on my standard template. The Set-up fee is included in the price for the first page of your site.

Submission of the completed site to the major search engines for indexing is included in the set-up fee.

The Page price covers the formatting of each individual page of your site, the inclusion of text, and the preparation and optimisation of images or any other media used. Page prices will depend on complexity of content.

The page price includes the tagging of each page of your site for indexing by search engines.

The Total Cost of a simple brochure site based on my standard template layout (see Samples page) averages out at an overall per page cost in the region of £40 for a basic site with 5-6 pages. Individually-designed sites have a higher set-up fee, but with double the number of pages or more can still average out in the region of £40-£50 per page. As a comparison, bespoke design (excluding hosting and domain fees) generally starts in the region of £80 per page and can be considerably higher.

Timescales

If you have your domain name and hosting already arranged, and all the content of your site prepared and ready for inclusion, your site can go "live" in less than a week from ordering. A small template-based site can even be completed within 24 hours of having all the requisite information to hand.
